Sailing

We sailed without our cares
We took ‘em off for fun
I love the smile you wear
Two pirates on the run

So we rode ourselves a wind
And took the Osprey to Nokomis
To a cove beyond the pass
Where the tempest might have drawn us
I was having so much fun
Sailing by your side

Emerald waters blue and green
Through the straights of Sanibel
Nearly crashed upon a reef
But the winds would wish us well

So we rode ourselves a wind
And took the Osprey to Nokomis
To a cove beyond the pass
Where the tempest might have drawn us
I was having so much fun
Sailing by your side

Tender darkness of the sky
I guess the day’s come to a close
We’ve been drifting with the tides
Into waters no one dares to go

Down in Gasparilla pass
Souls of thieves still raise a glass
And whisper tales of jewels
And royal chests of gold dubloons
I was having so much fun
Sailing by your side
Sailing by your side
